The Bible speaks clearly when it answers the most important question in life, “How can I know for certain that I will go to heaven when I die?”
F is for FORGIVENESS.
The Bible says we cannot have eternal
life and heaven without God’s forgiveness.
The Bible says “In him (meaning Jesus)
we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins.”
–Ephesians 1:7a
A is for AVAILABLE.
Forgiveness is available. It is --
AVAILABLE FOR ALL
Jesus said, “For God so loved the
world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in
Him should not perish but have everlasting life” –John 3:16
BUT, IT’S NOT AUTOMATIC
Jesus said “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter
the kingdom of heaven” –Matthew 7:21
I is for IMPOSSIBLE
It is impossible for God to allow sin into heaven.
There are two reasons why God cannot allow
sin into heaven.
1) because of who God is, and 2) because of who we are.
The Bible says
God is LOVE -John 3:16
God is also JUST
The Bible says “For judgment is
without mercy” -James 2:13a
Judgment on what? Judgment on our sin.
People are SINFUL
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” –Romans
3:23
T is for TURN
In the Bible, Turn means repent.
We must TURN from something,
sin and self.
Jesus said “But unless you repent you
will all likewise perish” - Luke 13:3b
We then TURN to someone
and that someone is Jesus, the savior;
We can trust Christ only.
(The Bible tells us that) “Christ died for our sins according to the
Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third
day according to the Scriptures” –I Corinthians 15-3b-4
The Bible also says…
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your
heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
-Romans 10:9
H is for HEAVEN
Heaven is eternal life.
You can have heaven
HERE now.
Jesus said “ I have come that they may
have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” -John 10:10
Heaven is also HEREAFTER.
Jesus promised “And if I go and
prepare a place for you, I will come again and
receive you to Myself: that where I am, there you may be also” -
John 14:3
HOW?
We must place our
FAITH in the Lord Jesus Christ. If you haven’t done so already, you
can pray now…
“God, thank You for loving me. I confess that I have sinned against You. I believe that Your Son Jesus died on the cross to pay for my sins, and that You raised Jesus from the dead. I now put my faith in Jesus. Forgive me and save me from my sins. I confess that Jesus is Lord. Thank You for Your gift of eternal life. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
